Questions about the Duck

Everything you need to know before you order.

How does it work?

Fill the tray under the dome with kibble or treats. When your dog steps on the orange pedal, the tray turns and one piece comes out through the opening in the dome and drops to the floor.

Does it need batteries or power?

No. The Duck is fully mechanical. There's nothing to charge, plug in or set up.

What kibble size fits?

It comes with three lids, one for each size: 8-10 mm holds about 40 pieces, 11-13 mm about 30 pieces and 15-18 mm about 15 pieces. Switch lids to match what your pet eats.

How big is it?

8.7 in (22 cm) long and 5.5 in (14 cm) tall, and the dome is 3.1 in (8 cm) across. The pedal sticks out about 2.8 in (7 cm) at the back.

Does it work for cats too?

It's made for dogs, but cats that are used to puzzle toys often manage the pedal. Start with the smallest lid.

How do I clean it?

The dome and tray lift off for hand washing. Wipe the body with a damp cloth.

For dogs that eat too fast

Dogs that wolf down dinner in twenty seconds get neither taste nor activity out of it. The Duck turns a meal into a small task: fill the tray under the clear dome, let your dog step on the pedal, and one piece at a time rolls out. Three lids are included, so the opening fits your kibble. No batteries, no app, nothing to set up.
